Annica Ånäs appointed as new CEO in Atrium Ljungberg

Together with CEO Ingalill Berglund, the Board of Directors of Atrium Ljungberg have concluded an agreement on Ingalill leaving her role as CEO of Atrium Ljungberg. Annica Ånäs, CFO and acting CEO, will succeed Ingalill Berglund as of Friday 19 February.

This is a good solution. Ingalill Berglund has done a fantastic job and has been a major contributory factor for the company's development over recent years. That Annica Ånäs will now take over the role of CEO has developed in dialogue between me, Ingalill Berglund and the Board of Directors,” says Johan Ljungberg, Chairman of the Board of Atrium Ljungberg.

Ingalill Berglund has worked at Atrium Ljungberg since 2001, of which the latest five years as CEO. She has been on sick leave since September and in October Annica Ånäs was appointed as acting CEO.

“My years at Atrium Ljungberg have been fun and rewarding,” says resigning CEO Ingalill Berglund. “Now it is time to pass on the baton and I am pleased that Annica Ånäs has been entrusted by the Board of Directors to drive the work forward. This is a good solution for the company, which also allows me to collect my strength for exercise and recovery in the immediate future.”

Annica Ånäs, has worked within Atrium Ljungberg for eight years in total, first as Senior Controller, as CFO since 2011 and as acting CEO over recent months. She has also worked as CFO at Hemsö Fastigheter and served as CEO within the communication sector. In addition, she has experience of several directorships. Annica Ånäs has an academic background as Legal Counsel and Graduate Business Administrator.

“With Annica Ånäs as CEO we will gain both continuity and a competent leader. She shares the company's strong values and has the Board of Directors' complete confidence. In addition, it is also gratifying that once again we have recruited internally for the post of CEO,” says Johan Ljungberg, Chairman of the Board.

“I am really happy about the confidence which the Board has shown in me. Our strategy is long-term and we will continue to focus on building sustainable urban environments in Sweden's largest cities with a focus on growth and profitability,” comments Annica Ånäs. “We have a large project portfolio and with the work which has been performed over recent years, we have created the conditions for a higher investment pace. I look forward to leading this company in the exciting time we have ahead of us,” concludes Annica Ånäs.
