Convendum moves into Glashuset in Slussen

Atrium Ljungberg has signed a lease contract with the co-working company Convendum for more than 5,100 m2 in the characterful Glashuset in Slussen.

Convendum is a co-working concept for the premium segment, focusing on service, technology and design. It has several different locations in the centre of Stockholm and in Gothenburg. Its concept is based on membership, which provides access to workplaces and conference facilities with every service imaginable at the best locations in each city. Convendum is a meeting place for innovation, capital and development, where small and large companies from different sectors come together. It is now further enhancing its offering in Stockholm with more than 5,100 m2 in Glashuset, Slussen. The contract is for 10 years and occupancy is expected to take place in April 2019.

“Convendum is a leading Co-working Center in the Nordic region. Our modern, digital society means that offices now have to be a meeting and communication platform,” says Håkan Jeppsson CEO at Convendum.

“What is unique about Convendum’s concept is that we are able to reduce office costs for our customers, even though we are in the premium segment. The demand for flexible and well-equipped offices is high, so we are increasing our growth rate, which includes this strategically important establishment in Glashuset, Slussen,” concludes Håkan Jeppsson.

Glashuset is one of Stockholm’s best-known buildings, located at the approach to Stockholm. Its location in the city centre, combined with its proximity to one of Stockholm’s biggest hubs, makes Glashuset one of Atrium Ljungberg’s most attractive office properties. Tenants who are already here include Tengbom, Wingårdhs, Ecster, Proventus and HiQ. Atrium Ljungberg invests heavily in Södermalm and in 2017 acquired properties in Slussen and Medborgarplatsen. In the autumn of 2017 it was announced that Atrium Ljungberg had signed an agreement with the City of Stockholm for an early land allocation at Mälarterrassen in Slussen. The aim is to create a meeting place for food and culture that will open by 2025.

“We are extremely happy that a company as exciting as Convendum has decided to move into Glashuset. Their concept is a strong complement to our range of modern office solutions,” says Petter Klingofström, Senior Leasing Advisor, Atrium Ljungberg.

“So much is taking place in this area, and we are sure that the rise of Nya Slussen will enhance the area even more in the future. Convendum’s establishment is evidence of the attractiveness of this area, both now and in the future,” continues Petter Klingofström.

The rental agreement with Convendum is referred to as a “green rental contract” – an agreement between the landlord and tenant on shared measures to retain or improve environmental performance of the premises.
