Atrium Ljungberg acquires property with project opportunities in Sickla

Atrium Ljungberg has today acquired a property with project opportunities on Nobelberget in Sickla, Nacka. The company's position is thereby further strengthened as an important player and urban developer in Sickla. The plans involve constructing new housing and office premises and creating a natural link between Hammarby Sjöstad and Sickla.

The acquired property, Nacka Sicklaön 83:33, is situated on Nobelberget between Hammarby Sjöstad and Sickla. The address is Sickla Industriväg 4-6. The property has a total area of approximately 35,000 m2 which currently includes several office buildings which are partially rented. A detailed development plan process is in progress to create both offices and housing on the property.

The purchase price is SEK 355 million. The seller is a subsidiary of Länsförsäkringar Liv. Atrium Ljungberg is expected to take possession of the property on 28 February 2014.

"This is a strategic acquisition which allows us to link the districts Hammarby Sjöstad and Sickla in a natural way. On Nobelberget we want to supply both housing and office premises and it will be a combination of constructing new buildings and preserving old buildings," comments Micael Averborg, Business Area Director, Transaction and Markets at Atrium Ljungberg.

Atrium Ljungberg has been involved in the development of Sickla since 1997. Since then Sickla has gradually progressed from being a closed industrial area to an attractive district. The company has owned and administered a large property division within the area including Sickla Köpkvarter and a number of office premises. Today's acquisition further strengthens Atrium Ljungberg's position in Sickla and creates opportunities to continue developing the area in line with the municipality of Nacka's comprehensive plan for dense and mixed cities.
