Industrial historic buildings
Kvarteret Ångqvarn is located along the Fyrisån in the development area Skeppskajen, which will connect the southern parts of the inner city with Uppsala city. There are three beautiful brick buildings from the beginning of the 20th century where a large part of Uppland's food production took place. Now there will be offices close to both the park areas along the water and city life. The previously closed area is opened up with new lanes, restaurants and services.
The detailed plan for the area was adopted by the Uppsala City Council in June 2021 and is expected to have legal force in 2022. Construction start is expected in 2023.
